Looks like the Seeman – Vijay duo is keen on starting ‘Pagalavan’ right after Vijay finishes up with ‘Nanban,’ a multi-starrer under Shankar’s direction.

We had earlier told you the script consisted of a doctor Vijay, who plays the role of Pugazhendi and serves the poor in a village and then fights a mafia who deals with expired medicines.

But now, Seeman has brought about certain changes in ‘Pagalavan’s script, making it a whole-new-package altogether!

This new aspect will show a young Vijay fighting for a cause, against the privatization of certain sectors by the Government. ‘Pagalavan’ will see a rough-tough war between Vijay who is a doctor and a police officer. And during these fights, Vijay realizes he can do better for the common man if he is a part of the police force.

He then studies IPS, rises to power as a police official in the society and puts an end to the mafia who is dealing with expired medicines.

So yes, Vijay dons the avatar of a doctor and later a police officer in ‘Pagalavan.’ We must remember that Vijay’s earlier movie where he played a cop - ‘Pokkiri’ was a blockbuster.

தொடர்ந்து தள்ளிபோய் கொண்டே இருந்த விஜய்யின் "வேலாயுதம்" படத்தின் ஆடியோ ரிலீஸ் அடுத்த மாதம் ஜூலை 5ம் தேதி ரிலீஸ் செய்வது உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. "காவலன்" படத்திற்கு பிறகு விஜய்யின் ரசிகர்கள் மிகுந்த ஆவலோடு எதிர்பார்த்து கொண்டிருக்கும் படம் "வேலாயுதம்". அதிரடி ஆக்ஷன் கலந்த மசாலா படமாக உருவாகி வரும் இப்படத்தில், விஜய்க்கு ஜோடியாக ஜெனிலியா, ஹன்சிகா‌ மோத்வானி ஆகியோர் நடிக்கின்றனர். "ஜெயம்" ராஜா இயக்கும் இப்படத்தை, ஆஸ்கர் பிலிம்ஸ் ரவிச்சந்திரன் தயாரிக்கிறார். படத்தின் சூட்டிங் முடியும் தருவாயில் இருக்கிறது.

இந்நிலையில் இப்படத்தின் ஆடியோ ரிலீஸ் தொடர்ந்து தள்ளிக்கொண்டே போய் வந்த நிலையில், அடுத்த மாதம் ஜூலை 5ம் தேதி திட்டவட்டமாக ரிலீஸ் செய்ய இருக்கின்றனர். மெலோடி, குத்துப்பாட்டு என்று ‌விஜய் ஆண்டனியின் இசையில் மொத்தம் 7பாடல்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதிலும் குறிப்பாக விஜய்க்கு ஓபனிங் சாங்கை மட்டும் கிட்டத்தட்ட ரூ.2கோடி செலவில் படமாக்கியுள்ளனர்.

முன்னதாக வேலாயுதம் படத்தின் ஆடியோவை முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதாவை வைத்து நடத்த திட்டமிட்டிருந்தார் விஜய்யும், அவரது அப்பாவும், இயக்குநருமான எஸ்.‌ஏ.சந்திரசேகர். ஆனால் இதனை ஜெயலலிதா மறுத்துவிட்டார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

காவலனை பார்த்து கண்கலங்கிய சீன ரசிகர்கள்: விஜய் நெகிழ்ச்சி

ஷாங்காய் நகரில் நடந்த திரைப்பட விழாவில் விஜய்யின், "காவலன்" படத்தை பார்த்த ரசிகர்கள் கடைசி 20 நிமிடங்களில் கண்கலங்கி போனார்கள் என்று நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறுகிறார் விஜய். சீனாவின் ஷாங்காய் நகரில் திரைப்பட விழா நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. அதில் விஜய் நடித்த காவலன் படமும் திரையிடப்பட்டது. விழாவில் காவலன் படம் ஆங்கில மற்றும் சீன மொழி சப்-டைட்டிலுடன் இந்த படம் திரையிடப்பட்டது. இந்தவிழாவில் நடிகர் விஜய்யும் கலந்து கொண்டார். சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் விஜய் பங்கேற்பது இதுதான் முதன்முறை.

விழாவில் பங்கேற்ற விஜய் பேசியதாவது, ஷாங்காய் பட விழாவில் "காவலன்" படம் பங்கேற்றது, அந்தவிழாவில் நானும் கலந்து கொண்டது மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்கிறது. இது எனக்கு ஒரு புதுமையான அனுபவத்தை தந்தது. நடிகர், மொழி, தேசம் இவற்றை கடந்து ஒரு நல்ல படம் எந்த நாட்டு மக்களையும் கவரும் என்பதற்கு இது ஒரு உதாரணம். படத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு காட்சியையும் இங்குள்ள சீனர்கள் ரசித்தனர். குறிப்பாக காமெடி காட்சிகளை பார்த்து விழுந்து, விழுந்து சிரித்தது எனக்கு ஆச்சரியத்தை அளித்தது. படத்தின் கடைசி 20 நிமிடங்கள் அமைதியாக ரசித்த ரசிகர்கள் கண் கலங்கி போனார்கள். படம் முடிந்ததும் அனைவரும் எழுந்து நின்று கைதட்டி பாராட்டினார்கள். படம் பார்த்து முடித்ததும் என் கேரக்டரான பூமி பெயரைச் சொல்லி அனைவரும் பாராட்டியது எனக்கும் மிகழ்ச்சியாகவும், அதேசமயம் பெருமையாகவும் இருந்தது. மொத்தத்தில் என் வாழ்வில் மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவமாக இந்த விழா அமைந்தது.

உலக சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ஜாக்கிசானுக்கு இந்தியாவில், குறிப்பாக தமிழ்நாட்டில் ரசிகர்கள் அதிகம். நான் படிக்கும்போது அவருடைய படங்களை நிறைய பார்த்து ரசித்திருக்கிறேன். இன்று அவரது ஊரில், நான் நடித்த காவலன் படம் திரையிடப்பட்டது பெரும் பாக்கியமாக கருதுகிறேன். இங்குள்ள ரசிகர்களை என் வாழ்வில் மறக்க மாட்டேன். இவ்வாறு விஜய் பேசினார்.

‘Pagalavan’ to roll out in two months

We had already updated you regarding Vijay agreeing to director’s Seeman’s ‘Pagalavan.’ The script of this film has been ready since two years but did not take off for various reasons. But all that is history now. Vijay will start working for ‘Pagalavan’ after he wraps up ‘Nanban’ and ‘Velayudham.’
With many government organizations getting privatized, if this trend continues the nation will have to dance to the tunes of the rich and the affluent. This being the backdrop Vijay will appear in this film as a bold and outgoing youngster who will be seen fighting for his rights as well as that of his peers.
The director of the film is positive that this film will be a milestone in Vijay’s career. Seeman is working on certain aspects of the film to suit Vijay.
This film has two heroines. The director is busy finalizing the heroines. Since no names have been finalized yet it leaves us wondering if it will be a known face acting opposite Vijay or whether a debutante will find herself acting opposite Vijay. We will let you know soon as to who will share screen space opposite ‘Ilaya Thalapathi.’
The director also recently revealed that ‘Pagalavan’ will start rolling in a couple of months!

August Attack- Thala v/s Thalapathy

Tamil cinema is gearing up for a classic Vijay versus Ajith battle as their films, Velayudham and Mankatha respectively, are getting ready for an August release.
Velayudham director M Raja, has said in an interview that his film is slated for an August release. Mankatha producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri had recently, through a tweet, confirmed that his film would be released in August.
Dhananjayan of UTV and leading producer has tweeted-”They may release in the same month (August) but not same day.”
It looks like there will be a two weeks gap between both the films.
As per industry sources it has also created an unnecessary tug of war between the fans of Ajith and Vijay. Remember recently the stars themselves had met and buried the hatchet.
On the trade front also it has created tension, as both the films are looking for buyers. The trade is abuzz on how to accommodate the two biggies.
This will have a bearing on the price factor and MG (Minimum Guarantee) being offered by the exhibitors. The buzz is that both the films are looking for a single party buyer to market the film
worldwide.

Suriya’s 7am Arivu Audio release on July 8th, 2011

TAMILKEY is continuously bringing you the latest updates of Suriya’s 7am Arivu for all his fans and for those who are keenly waiting. Now we are back with the audio release date of the film. We have mentioned enough number of times regarding the audio release the filmmakers have postponed it due to some official problems.
But now the audio release date is confirmed by the films music director Harris Jayraj. Harris confessed in his microblogging site that 7aam Arivu audio launch is going to take place exactly in 30 days. It means the audio is all set to hit the stores on or before July 8th, 2011. The album has total of 6 songs including a Chinese track. The Chinese song is the special attraction of the album which was sung by mandarin singer Hau. This particular song has sounds dating back to more than 2,000 years. Interesting isn’t it.
The audio launch will take place in a grand manner and the venue is expected to be Nehru Stadium. Suriya will be performing nearly 10 astonishing feats live on stage along with some trained circus artistes which will be a special attraction of the audio launch.
Shruthi Haasan is playing as the female lead opposite Suriya in the film. 7aam Arivu is directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin on Red Giant Movies banner.

‘Irandam Ulagam’ – Audio launch shortly

Anything from the sets of a Selvaraghavan movie is nothing less than news to movie buffs.
We had earlier reported to you that ‘Viswaroopam’ had moved from Selva’s hands to Kamal for direction as Selva’s ‘Irandam Ulagam’ may take more time to complete. But look’s like ‘Irandam Ulagam’ is indeed moving at a brisk pace.
The music composer of the film, GV Prakash had tweeted to his pals that this much-awaited flick has six tracks and a theme music. He also confirmed that the audio launch will take place next month. Probably, before Selva’s wedding?
This is the second time GV Prakash is pairing with Selvaraghavan, the first being ‘Aayirathil Oruvan,’ the music of which was well-received by all. At the same time, GV’s earlier movies with Dhanush, that is to say, ‘Pollathavan’ and ‘Aadukalam’ are noted for their tracks.
It is known by now that the lead roles play doctors / medical students in the film, but there are a few birdies who claim the movie features Dhanush and Richa as a married couple and ventures their dark pasts, however we can’t be sure of that.
With GV Prakash’s update, Selva’s fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the project has been going on-and-off from five long years! We’ll get back to you shortly with the date of the audio launch so that you can grab your copy from a nearby DVD store…

My son will come to movies if he wants to

Star kids have an advantage facing the camera as opposed to people with no filmi background. And movies are more or less dominated by star kids of late. Does Vijay see his son wanting to launch himself in films someday? This was the question Vijay had to face recently. And his reply was nothing short of showcasing him as a perfect-father.

“Right now my son shows interest in sports but I don’t enforce my opinion on him. I am more of a friendly father than a restrictive one. So when my son grows up and wants to launch himself in the movies I am not going come in between his wishes. I will let him be,” was Vijay’s reply.

Jeeva turns producer

The actor Jeeva is all set to take a new avatar as a producer. Producing films is an idea. Jeeva have been trying for it from last few years, but now only that have been able to take the first step.
Jeeva will be partnering with his brother (Jithan Ramesh). The groundwork for their projects will commence as soon Jeeva finish shooting for his films.
In the next few days they will register the name of their company.
Their production company will be producing his kind of films. They are looking at start with ad films and experimental films.

Nanban To Release For Diwali!

Good new for all Vijay fans. Vijay‘s much expected movie Nanban will release big for this Diwali. The movie release has almost been confirmed and may soon we can see a official announcement of the release date of film.

Nanban directed by Sankar features Vijay and Ileana is lead roles while Jeeva, Sathyaraj, S. J. Surya plays supporting roles. Nanban is a remake of the 2009 Bollywood blockbuster film 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar which featured Aamir Khan in lead role.

Currenlty Nanban shooting is going at full speed in areas of Coimbatore, Ooty, Andaman and Amsterdam. Gemini Film Circuit is producing the film while music for the movie has been scored by Harris Jayaraj.

Tamannah Shattered to Two Pieces

It is not actually about Tamannah’s breaking up with Karthi Sivakumar who went on to get engaged with a girl sought by his family. Ever since that day, she has declared that she would never be back to Tamil films or Chennai and she would be in the Telugu industry for the rest of her life.

Of course, now she says she wants to get good roles in Tamil which she has been getting of late in Telugu. She has gone up to the extent of shedding her clothes to gain roles in movies. Tamannah has become a tough competitor to Kajal Aggarwal when she refused to be clad in a skimpy bikini.
Tamannah was ready, she gave the nod and the producers went ahead with casting Tamannah in the film. She will be seen sizzling hot in the film titled “Ratcha”. However, she did not want anyone to photograph her while she acted in the scene.
She does not want to be seen in bikini on posters. Her only Tamil film preparing for release is “Venghai” in which she stars with Dhanush, directed by the ‘box office

Nanban' comes to Chennai

After shooting in Coimbatore, Ooty, Andaman and Amsterdam, the cast and crew of 'Nanban', led by 'captain of the ship' Shankar, are now camping in Chennai, picturising some important scenes.

"The shooting is taking place on East Coast Road, Hotel Le Royal Meridien, Perungudi, Guindy Kathipara and other places. 'Nanban' is fast taking shape unlike other Shankar films," say sources.

Pointing out that the shoot of Shankar's previous venture 'Enthiran' hit the news columns for wrong reasons after traffic was disrupted on the Kathipara flyover, sources say the director is now very particular that no such thing should happen this time.

"Recently a car chase was canned on a couple of busy places in broad daylight. But no one knows about it since the clever filmmaker shot it on a candid camera setup to avoid troubles to the traffic," they add.
